PPO Music Director and Principal Conductor
The Cultural Center of the Philippines welcomes applications for the position of Music Director and Principal Conductor for its resident orchestra, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO). Term of office for the selected candidate is 3 years.
Interested applicantss are requested to submit the following requirements by 15 June 2022.
- Letter of intent stating the applicant’s musical vision for the PPO
- Photocopy of the first page of passport
- Curriculum Vitae with recent Photo
- Symphonic Repertoire
- Three (3) Sample Souvenir Programs of past performances containing the repertoire and the cover page
- Critical reviews of the candidate’s past performances
- Video recording of 2 contrasting pieces and musical styles with not less than five (5) minutes per piece
- Detailed Plan of Musical Formation which the conductor wants the PPO to undergo and achieve for the next three (3) years
- Letter of Endorsement (to be sent directly by the endorser via email)
Applicants will be abjudicated based on the following criteria:

The short-listed candidates will be notified by the PPO search committee and coordinate arrangements for the live auditions at the CCP.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and implementation of the PPO’s thrusts, programs, concert season, training of musicians and other related activities. He/She is expected to conduct most of the performances in a year, including the regular PPO Concert Season, CCP/OP Outreach Tours, Young People’s Concert and other special events of the CCP. He/She will also be in charge of the Development Program for the members of the PPO and inspire them to perform at the highest level possible.

The CCP Visual Arts and Museum Division (VAMD) is looking for a project-based Archivist to continue archiving work at the CCP’s Visual Arts Archives from April to December 2022.
JOB DESCRIPTION |
The Archivist plays an important role in establishing and improving the archives management of Visual Arts Archives. The existing archives collection contains materials such as print documents, photos, invitations, brochures, posters, newspaper clippings, publications, slides, contact sheets, negatives, cassettes, CDs, among others. The Archivist will work closely with the CCP VAMD and its staff in continuing and implementing the Visual Arts Archive and Library Project Plan to provide standards and ensure that all materials are identified, listed, organized, digitized, stored, and maintained at par to basic archiving standards. |
