Palawan. The program will pay tribute to the local fisher folks, through special performances by Isay Alvarez and Robert Seña, Jobry Cimafranca, Soliman Cruz and the Palawan Dance Ensemble.
Since it was first launched in 2012, AIWP has already reached 20 public offices (national & local) and work places in the local communities, over 5000 workers/audiences and featured 343 local artists. In 2020, the program had to be deferred due to the pandemic but in 2021, it was revived and produced an online version and presented three regional collaborative production tributes to the frontliners. For 2022, the CED organized and mounted a hybrid edition that paid tribute to three work sectors – teachers, fishermen and farmers, held in Tagum City, Roxas City and the Science City of Munoz. The 2023 edition continues to honor the workers which commenced in Nueva Vizcaya last March 31, 2023 with farmers and teachers as the beneficiaries.
