TRIPLE THREATS: The Leading Women of Philippine Musical Theater is a series of solo concerts featuring the stalwarts of Philippine Musical Theater. Each concert offers an intimate experience, showcasing a curated selection of beautiful music chosen by the artists themselves. Their repertoire spans favorite songs from Broadway, the West End, original Filipino musicals, and iconic movies.

Dubbed a series of “concept concerts,” each performance weaves a unique narrative driven by the artists’ song choices. This format provides a rare opportunity for the audience to discover new dimensions of these acclaimed theater, television, and film performers. In theater parlance, a “triple threat” is an artist who can sing, act and dance.

The first concert features Carla Guevara Laforteza, under the musical direction of Gerard Salonga. A celebrated Filipino musical theater actress, Carla Guevara Laforteza is known for her versatile performances in both local and international productions. With a career spanning three decades, she has starred in numerous iconic roles, captivating audiences with her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. Carla will be joined by Filhamonika Orchestra in this concert. This concert will be directed by Paolo Valenciano, with script by Joel Trinidad and production design by Mio Infante.
