DESCRIPTION/SYNOPSIS:

Based on the well-known operetta by Franz Lehar that debuted in 1905, The Merry Widow is about a rich widow and her countrymen’s attempt to keep her money in their country by finding her a husband. This ballet is a story about love and second chances. Adopted for ballet and performed by dance companies around the globe, this version of PBT’s The Merry Widow was choreographed by Artistic Director Ronilo Jaynario. Be mesmerized as PBT transforms this romantic comedy operetta into dance while being serenaded by Franz Lehar’s beautiful music.
