Elevate your senses with an enchanting evening of classical mastery as the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Grzegorz Nowak, highlights timeless masterpieces from Johannes Brahms and Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky for its 5th concert in its 39th Season.

Jerome Rose, hailed as “the Last Romantic of our own age” and one of America’s most distinguished pianists, takes center stage with Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1 Op.15 in D minor, a powerful and expressive composition, showcasing rich orchestration and virtuosic piano passages. The concerto, completed in 1858, marked a significant work in Brahms’ career and is known for its dramatic and emotional intensity.

Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.4 Op.46 in F minor, nicknamed “Fatum” or “Fate,” is a striking piece that reflects his emotional struggles. The symphony explores themes of fate and features a memorable, recurring motif. Tchaikovsky’s use of orchestration and melodic richness contributes to the symphony’s enduring popularity.
