Under the baton of PPO’s resident conductor Maestro Herminigildo Ranera, this special outreach concert narrates the beauty of Filipinos’ Christmas traditions through music. It is one of the highlights of the Uhay Festival (established in 2013) which celebrates a harvest of the province’s progressive agricultural implementations and milestones in the art scene.

Bringing holiday cheers are PPO’s artist-in-residence and guest concertmaster Diomedes Saraza, soprano-songwriter Lara Maigue, triple threat performer Arman Ferrer, Jr., soprano singer Camille Lopez-Molina, and world-renowned pianist Raul Sunico. Completing the cast are the CLSU Maestro Singers, and the 200 Voices of the Science City of Muñoz.

Featuring Christmas songs in its repertoire, Himig Ng Pasko Alay Sa Inyo supports the city’s holiday mission of giving back to its people while encouraging residents of Mu؜ñoz, Nueva Ecija to bond over a night of classical melodies.

This charity concert was made possible with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the City Government of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Uhay Festival, and the Science City of Mu؜ñoz Tourism. This special concert is a testament to the CCP’s fulfillment of its role as the Philippines’ premiere arts and cultural institution.

Nueva Ecija’s pride rests on its Science City, the only one in the country and one of the only two countries worldwide, alongside Japan’s Tsukuba Science City. Locally, it is also known as the Rice Granary of the Philippines and is lauded for its agricultural advancement.
