Get ready for CCP Pasinaya 2025, a groundbreaking annual event of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, as it expands its flagship multi-arts festival to a global scale this February 1 and 2.
With this year’s theme, “Para Sa Lahat,” the arts festival will feature a wide array of performances, workshops, and exhibits, all showcasing the exceptional talent of Filipino artists. It is set for staging at the CCP Complex, other partner venues across the country, and three international locations, so that individuals and communities throughout the country can experience and engage with the vibrant creative expressions of Filipino artists.
“We are excited to share that the CCP Pasinaya 2025 is now a global initiative that not only showcases our nation’s cultural heritage but also promotes significant international collaborations. This helps ensure that Filipino creativity will soon be recognized worldwide,” said CCP President Kaye C. Tinga.
Pasinaya Palitan
One of such activities happening at the said event is Pasinaya Palitan. An Arts Exchange component, this platform is organized for performing groups to network and pitch their productions, seasons of performances, and other services to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Philippine Embassies, Philippine Consulate General (PCG), international partners, production companies, foundations, and theater and performance venues.
Pasinaya Palitan aims to make both local and international partners and stakeholders aware that the Filipino creative works and products continue amid the ongoing rehabilitation works at CCP.
A Buyers’ Lounge will be available on both dates near the CCP Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez (Black Box Theater) where the performing groups can drop by to do their pitch.
Participants in the Navigating the Touring Circuit performing group will present a performance pitch on February 1 at the Aliw Theater, CCP Complex. Meanwhile, other groups will conduct performance pitches in Iloilo City and Tagum City. These activities are designed to prepare the companies for an international art market that the CCP will organize in 2026.
Pasinaya Worldwide
Other CCP partner countries like Jordan, Libya and new partner China will set their respective Pasinaya activities in February.
On February 14, the Philippine Embassy in Amman, Jordan will organize an event to celebrate Arts Month with both Filipinos and Jordanians.
The Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, Libya will organize an event on February 14 as a Thanksgiving celebration for the Filipino communities that have remained despite the ongoing conflict.
The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou, China, together with various universities in China, will meet with performing groups virtually on February 18 in preparation for their Festival in November 2025.
Through the years, Pasinaya has been a testament to the enduring power of Filipino artistry, showcasing the diverse talents and cultural heritage of the Philippines on an international platform. The festival features a captivating array of artistic expressions including visual arts featuring exhibitions, and performances.
Continuing the tradition from previous years, the festival will adhere to its Pay-What-You-Can, See-All-You-Can scheme, ensuring accessibility for all. This inclusive approach reflects CCP’s commitment to making the arts available to a wider audience, allowing everyone to enjoy the festival’s rich cultural offerings.
