BRING your kids to play with rainbows and celebrate our vibrant arts and culture at CCP Children’s Biennale 2022: BALANGÁW, A Colorful Multi-Arts Festival For Kids!  From October 30 to November 20, 2022, the Cultural Center of the Philippines is showcasing various artists and groups to offer free/pay-what-you-can onsite and online festivities for your children to enjoy under the theme of Kultura (Culture), Kalikasan (Nature) and Kalinga (Nurture).

  • Festival Opening: October 30 at the CCP featuring Tricks & Musical Treats: A Tuneful Fiesta at Filharmonia by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra with Liesl Batucan-del Rosario (actor, narrator, and director), Maestro Herminigildo Ranera (conductor), 10-year-old pianist Ella Gabrielle Gaw, and 7-year-old marimba player Gioia Francesco M. De la Cruz

BALANGÁW, this year’s edition of the leading hybrid arts festival for Filipino children, invites you to its first onsite run during the pandemic.  The festival’s colorful offerings will open your kids’ eyes to the diversity of our local arts, indigenous cultures and natural environment.  Develop their curiosity at no charge with our feast of interactive art installations, educational film and play screenings, creative workshops, children’s book fairs, and puppet shows by CCP’s resident companies, beloved artist groups, and independent artists and children advocates.

Abner Torres Delina Jr. (Kuya Fidel of Batibot/Founder of multi-arts collective Black Canvas) leads the team as the Festival Curator-Director. With the support of the CCP Board of Trustees headed by Dr. Jaime Laya (Chairperson) and Ms. Maria Margarita Moran-Floirendo (CCP President) and CCP Arts Education headed by Eva Mari Salvador (Arts Education Department Manager), Ronnie Mirabuena (Audience Development Division), and Ariel Yonzon (Production and Exhibition Department Head), BALANGÁW: CCP Children’s Biennale 2022 and its collaborators strive to make a colorful, creative, safe, and inclusive space for your children to sing, dance, and share stories while discovering what it means to be Filipino through art and culture.
