Maceda 100:
Attitude of the Mind

The exhibition Attitude of the Mind ran from 26 September to 3 December 2017 at the CCP’s Bulwagang Juan Luna (Main Gallery). In partnership with the University of the Philippines’ Center for Ethnomusicology, the exhibition was one of many activities included in the MACEDA 100 program that celebrated the birth centennial of National Artist for Music Jose Maceda (1917-2004).

The exhibit catalog of Attitude of the Mind was finished in 2018 and is now available for digital download in the CCP website. Accompanying the rich text of the publication are nine audio tracks which were either based on actual pieces by Maceda or inspired by his musical practice.

Tirada: 50 Years
of Philippine Printmaking 1968-2018

The exhibition Tirada: 50 Years of Philippine Printmaking 1968-2018 celebrated five decades of the Association of Pinoyprintmakers (AP), formerly known as the Philippine Association of Printmakers or PAP. It was held at the CCP’s Bulwagang Juan Luna (Main Gallery), Pasilyo Guillermo Tolentino (3F Hallway Gallery), and Pasilyo Vicente Manansala (2F Hallway Gallery) from 19 May–15 July 2018. The exhibit catalog of Tirada: 50 Years of Philippine Printmaking 1968–2018 features essays by guest curator Patrick Flores, and printmakers Virgilio Aviado, Imelda Cajipe-Endaya and Jose Santos Ardivilla.

Sa Pagbabasa,
Hindi Ka Nag-iisa

Sa Pagbabasa, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa E-book. A project of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) through the Intertextual Division, Sa Pababasa, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa is an e-book dedicated for children. It contains a collection of children’s books, artworks for children, comics and other artistic and literary works about health, COVID-19, and the value of cooperation created by Filipino writers and illustrators from different regions of the country.

The goal of this project is to engage children in reading local and relevant materials and to give the general public, especially parents and teachers, an access to numerous published children’s literature in response to the COVID-19 global health crisis that teach children about the coronavirus and encourage them to protect themselves.

In Certain Seasons:
Mothers Write in the Time of COVID

“In Certain Seasons: Mothers Write in The Time of COVID” e-book is a project curated by the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Philippine PEN.

This is an e-book that features 41 literary pieces focusing on the experiences of mothers during the COVID-19 health crisis, as well as quarantine, isolation and healing. This book also highlights that women can be both child-raisers and artists amidst the struggles of being a parent.
