DESCRIPTION:

On the occasion of the 75^th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Spain, the CCP, in cooperation with the Embassy of Spain in Manila, Casino Español de Cebu for Cebu performances and Flamenco Agency from Seville, Spain is bringing on stage, Granada Flamenco Ballet’s “Bailame” (Dance for Me) on September 20 and 21 at the Casino Español de Cebu, and on September 22 and 23 at the CCP Blackbox Theater.

The ballet performances break down the boundaries between music and dance, focusing on the sensations and feelings associated with these two art forms. Bailamé changes the concept of ‘show,’ finding a greater balance between music and dance. There is no plot and everything is focused on the movements. The sound of the flamenco shoes or the castanets, a cry, or the deepest silence are combines with the same purpose: to accompany the music.
