Outreach Concerts of the 2017 Andrea O. Veneracion (AOV) International Choral Festival



As part of the 2017 Andrea O. Veneracion (AOV) International Choral Festival, the CCP Cultural Exchange Department (CED) is bringing some of the participating foreign and local choirs to serenade the local audiences and communities with outreach concerts this July 24-26 in Munoz-Nueva Ecija,  Sampaloc-Quezon and Bocaue-Bulacan. 


The Choir of University of Silesia-Harmonia from Poland led by its choirmaster Izabella Zielecka – Panek and the University of the Philippines Manila Chorale (UPMC) led by its Music Director/Conductor Eman De Leon Jr.,  will give a back-to-back concert in Munoz City on July 24, 3:00pm at the Munoz National High School Annex.  This concert is being organized by the City Government of Munoz. 


On July 25,  the Medan Community Male Chorale from Indonesia with their conductor Ken Steven and the University of the Philippines Los Banos Choral Ensemble with their conductor Roijin Suarez,  will perform at the Amphitheater of Sampaloc, Quezon Province.  Both the City of Munoz and the Municipality of Sampaloc are CCP’s Kaisa sa Sining Regional Art Centers in Luzon. 


The last outreach concert will be held at the Covered Court of Bocaue, Bulacan, 2:00pm on July 26 featuring the Harmonia and the UPMC.  The Bocaue outreach is presented by the Association of Bulacan Choirs, Directors & Singers & the Municipality of Bocaue.


Furthermore,  the CCP CED is bringing back to Manila the Sing Philippines Youth Choir (SPYC) Batch 2016, representing 25 provinces all over the country, to have a special participation in the Philippine Madrigal Singers Concert  at 3:00pm and the AOV Festival Closing Program, 7:00pm at the CCP Main theater on July 23.
