Education        :  Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Experience      :  None required

Eligibility          :  MC 11 s. 96 Cat. II*

*(Civil Service Eligibility obtained by completing one year of very satisfactory service under temporary status)


Preferably with:

  1. A degree in Communication Arts, Fine Arts, Theater Arts, Arts Management, Architecture or Engineering.
  2. At least 6 months experience in drafting (manual or computer aided).
  3. At least 3 months experience in supervising theater craftsmen.
  4. Training in set design and scenery construction.
  5. Knowledge in manual and CAD drafting, scale model making, painting, and prop making.
  6. Good communication skills, critical thinking, knowledge in technical writing and attention to details.
  7. Knowledge in Human Resource and office management.



  1. Handles set design projects assigned to the Division in addition to performing the duties of the Drafting and Model Making Head in supervising and monitoring the operations of the Drafting and Model Making Studio.


  1. Assists in the In-house Personnel Training /Educational programs/activities of the division pertaining to workshops in set design and construction and execution.


  1. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue reports and monthly, quarterly and yearly accomplishment reports.


  1. Takes charge of inventory and cataloguing of theatrical properties or theater props of the Center.


  1. Performs function of an Associate Technical Assistant whereby all design related concerns of the production are coordinated, scheduled, assigned and supervised from fabrication to ingress/set-ups, rehearsals to performances, strikes/egress.


  1. Participates in the tour of productions, shows, events and exhibitions of the Center that the Department undertakes.


  1. Researches on new technology, innovations, productivity and upgrading of personnel and facilities for efficiency and safety.


  1. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
