DESCRIPTION:

In celebration of National Heritage Month, this re-curated exhibit honors the enduring legacy of National Artist Leandro V. Locsin, the visionary behind some of the Philippines’ most iconic structures. Curated by Ar. Gerry Torres with Ar. Caryn Paredes-Santillan and Ar. Noel Cruz, the exhibition traces Locsin’s five-decade career, showcasing his mastery in transforming heavy, brutalist, industrial concrete into graceful, “floating,” and elegant structures.

Featuring architectural models and rare archival materials, the exhibit offers a deeper look at his singular approach to blending Western Modernism with a distinctly Filipino sensibility, exemplified by landmarks such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
