Free Discussion on Trophy-making at CCP
The Art of the Trophy: A Dialogue Between the Artists delves into the motivations, challenges, and the creative processes behind the trophies of the Thirteen Artists Awards.
Presented in conjunction with the Creative Continuum: Thirteen Artists Awards 1970–2024 exhibit–and in celebration of International Museum Day 2025– this public program offers the untold stories behind trophy-making. It explores the intersection of design and visual art through the perspectives of the awardees who created the iconic trophies.
Through this discussion with Juan Alcazaren, Gary-Ross Pastrana, Eric Zamuco, audiences are invited to participate in the dialogue and further deepen their understanding of the Thirteen Artists Awards by appreciating the creative practices in making and designing the award trophies.
