A trivial comedy for serious people. Jack finds being sensible dull, so he leads a double life—responsible in the country, reckless in town. His friend Algy does the same. But deception has its pitfalls, especially in love.
As they woo two ladies, their tangled web of lies threatens to unravel. Max Webster (Donmar’s Macbeth; Life of Pi) directs a joyful and flamboyant reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s most celebrated comedy. Olivier Award-winner Sharon D Clarke (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom; Doctor Who) is joined by Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who; Sex Education) and Hugh Skinner (W1A; Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) in this hilarious story of identity, impersonation and romance.

Benedict Cumberbatch plays the title role of yet another great Shakespearean tragedy, Hamlet. As the country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralyzed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security.
