DESCRIPTION:
The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra caps it 38th concert season “Metamorphosis,” at the Metropolitan Theater with classical masterpieces for the orchestra and a selection of opera arias, under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera, PPO’s resident and associate conductor. Dr. Ranera is a multi-awarded conductor, composer, orchestra arranger, musical director, and lecturer who has performed with various orchestras here and abroad. He is the founder of Philippine Band Association (PHILBANDA), currently the board member of the Asia-Pacific Band Directors Association, and the adviser of Band Conductors League of the Philippines. Presently teaching at the UST Conservatory of Music, and St. Paul University Manila Graduate School. For this finale concert, the PPO shares the stage with young talented musicians, soprano Mheco Joy Manlangit and tenor Radnel Del Rio Ofalsa.
