DESCRIPTION:

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), the country's leading orchestra introduces classical music appreciation to young people in a fun and enjoyable way.

 

With Maestro Yoshikazu Fukumura conducting, the PPO performs timeless pieces from its vast classical repertoire that includes Franz von Suppe's Light Cavalry Overture, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, 1st movement (with soloist Dino Akira Decena), Leroy Anderson's Bugler's Holiday and Syncopated Clock, and Aram Khachaturian's Waltz, Romance and Galop from Masquerade Suite.

 

This educational and entertaining program is coupled with a lecture-demo on the various instruments of the symphony orchestra.
