DESCRIPTION:

Regular guest conductor Yoshikazu Fukumura returns once again to lead the orchestra in the most famous of the early symphonies of Russian composer Piotr Ilyitch Tchaikovsky. Maestro Fukumura is regular guest conductor of the Cuba National Symphony Orchestra in Havana, and has led orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Beijing Central Philharmonic, Shanghai Symphony, Singapore Symphony, Korea KBS Symphony, Seoul Philharmonic, Taiwan National Symphony, Vietnam National Symphony, and Delhi Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Fukumura was formerly Music Director of the Tokyo City Ballet Company. Maestro Fukumura was formerly Music Director of the Tokyo City Ballet Company.

 

Program consists of Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, Faure’s Pelleas et Melisande Suite and

Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2 “Little Russian”.
