DESCRIPTION:
Now on its 14th year, the annual festival of fresh one-act plays continues to attract theatergoers with remarkable works by emerging and established playwrights. Established in 2005, the Virgin Labfest aims to provide our playwrights a venue to present their unpublished, untried, untested and unstaged works to theater-going public. Virgin Labfest is a project of the Manila-based playwrights group Writer's Bloc, Inc., acclaimed theater company Tanghalang Pilipino, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Virgin Labfest 14 runs for 3 weeks and is composed of 12 new Featured Works, 3 ‘Revisited’ Plays (audiences’ favourites from last year’s festival), Staged Readings and a showcase of works from the VLF Writing Fellowship Program.
