DESCRIPTION:
NEO FILIPINO was conceived as a platform for Filipino choreographers to make dance the central force, the impetus, and the muscle in collaborating with the other art forms: music, visual arts, literature, theater and film.
This year, NEO FILIPINO will present seasoned choreographers to engage, investigate, and to explore compelling possibilities in contemporary dance with other art disciplines. Five featured choreographers including JK ANICOCHE, NOVY BEREBER, CHRISTINE CRAME, MA. ELENA LANIOG and ERNEST MANDAP will be premiering innovative and new choreographic works, under the direction of Gawad CCP Para sa Sining Awardee Denisa Reyes.
NEO FILIPINO's thrust is to question, to inquire, and to challenge notions about how it is to be a Filipino artist in the 21st century.
