DESCRIPTION:

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, the Bayanihan Alumni Foundation, Inc. – an association of former Bayanihan members organized to bond former dancers, musicians and friends together – recreates the classic Bayanihan dances that were originally choreographed by the late National Artist for Dance, Lucrecia Urtula. The performance showcases the choreography of dances and songs by Madame Urtula in an effort to bring back an appreciation of her original works that have been acclaimed and replicated by Philippine folk dance companies both here and abroad. Four of the most popular suites will be performed, namely; the Igorot Suite, the Maria Clara Suite, the Muslim Suite and the Rural Suite.
