TERNOCON: A Terno Making Convention and Contest for Regional Designers




A terno-making competition for regional designers and a showcase of new ternos by professional/senior designers organized by the CCP CED, Production Design, Lead Facilitator Gino Gonzles with support from Bench/Suyen Corporation.  Ternocon is the phase 2 of the Fashioning the Terno  (FTT) Regional Mentoring Workshops that were implemented last 2017. It aims to (1) encourage the use of the terno as a popular form of formal dress;  (2) connect the knowledge and skills from Fashioning The Terno – Phase 1  to a contemporary application in terno making;  and (3) inspire and motivate regional designers to create ternos that are at par with the construction skills of professional designers.  Ternocon is open only to practicing fashion designers, who have completed successfully completed the FTT Phase 1.
