POSITION/TITLE: Supervising Culture and Arts Officer; SG-22; Item # 174




Education :  Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Experience :  3 year of relevant experience

Training :  16 hours of relevant training

Eligibility :  MC 11 s. 96 Cat. II *

*(Civil Service Eligibility obtained by completing one year of Very Satisfactory service under temporary status)




  1. A graduate of Mass/Organizational Communication, Management, Human Resource Management, Psychology/Behavioral Science, Business Administration or other related courses.

  2. With at least 3 years of relevant experience relevant to Front-of-House (FOH) service involving supervision.

  3. With training in emergency evacuation and basic life support, customer service, arts appreciation, crowd control management, production and events management,  critical thinking and decision making or other relevant trainings.

  4. Proficient in oral and written communication skills, computer literate and knowledgeable in FOH services and protocol procedures.

  5. With skills in problem solving, decision-making, time management, customer service, planning and organization, and business management.




  1. Provides substantial inputs to the formulation and development of yearly plans, programs and activities of the Division relative to its goals, objectives and official mandate.

  2. Collaborates with the Chief Culture and Arts Officer in monitoring and supervising the activities of the FOH Unit and Booking Unit including the Division’s regular projects such as Simbang Gabi at the CCP, FOH Apprenticeship Program for the Marginalized Youth, and the Metro Manila Consortium of the Performing Arts Center (MMCPAC).

  3. Assists in ensuring the effectiveness of systems, methods and strategies practiced by the Division especially in the areas of employee performance and productivity, maintenance of various venues and facilities, and management of financial resources.

  4. Contributes to the improvement of existing related policies and procedures including formulation of new guidelines for the service efficiency.

  5. Represents the Division in various committees involving institutional policy formulation and decision-making.

  6. Acts as FOH Duty Manager for select CCP “high ranking” events and performances and ensures high quality ushering services that fosters customer satisfaction and encourage positive feedback.  Attends production meetings or participates in necessary preparatory activities.

  7. Prepares, analyzes, presents reports such as Quarterly Division Accomplishment Report/Disaggregated Annual Audience Count Report and ensures its timely submission, accuracy of date and comprehensive presentation.

  8. Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
