Audience Development Programs

CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS

A program that will enhance the student’s education through the integration of arts education into the learning experience. It ensures the availability of quality and purpose-driven programs that would offer exciting opportunities for students to discover, explore, and create art.

  • Activities geared towards providing opportunities for students to learn in the arts, through the arts and about the arts. Activities are either on-site, off-site, and online.

WORKSHOPS, SEMINAR, LECTURE-DEMO SERIES

Programs for schools and communities that are educational, but still engaging and interactive.

  • Sining Alamin
  • Multi-disciplinary lecture-demonstration for arts appreciation and audience development. Conducted in coordination with different artists and artistic groups and organizations.

  • Sining sa Eskwela 
  • A week-long arts and culture series training specifically designed for teachers of the Special Program for the Arts (SPA) schools.

  • National Folk Dance Workshop for Teachers
  • Teacher training program using knowledge and skills in folk /traditional dance as medium in enhancing the arts education teaching and learning process in the schools.

Artist Training Programs

INTENSIVE TRAINING FOR ARTISTS-TEACHERS AND POTENTIAL ARTISTS

High level artistic training programs for artists, artist-teachers and potential artists in the creative arts. Activities include masterclasses, clinics, seminars, lectures, mentoring programs, showcases, etc.

    • Masterclass

One-on-one coaching sessions with art experts training advanced students in performance and technique. 

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the Cultural Center of the Philippines invites choirs from all over the world to compete in the country’s biggest choral festival of the year. The festival honors the founder of the Philippine Madrigal Singers National Artist for Music, Professor Andrea O. Veneracion, an esteemed choirmaster and choral clinician who is instrumental in the promotion of choral music all over the country. The event intends is to bring together choral groups from different parts of the globe to the Philippines to celebrate choral excellence through a festival and a competition.

 

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL TRAINING FOR ARTISTS/ARTIST-TEACHERS

Artistic Training programs for intermediate level in the creative arts for artists and artist-teachers. Activities include workshops, seminars, masterclasses, lectures, mentoring programs, showcases, etc.

    • Kabataang Gitarista Program

A classical guitar program for the youth offering free weekly lessons to interested public High School students. The program intends to promote appreciation for classical guitar performance among public. Aside from the weekly lessons, the students are also expected to have campus performances to promote interest in classical guitar.

    • Hands-on Choral Workshop

An intensive annual choral clinic open to amateur choirs and choral conductors to develop their skills in choral singing, conducting and performance. It is a highly regarded workshop that has produced winners in local and international choral competitions. Led by the world acclaimed Philippine Madrigal Singers, the workshop includes a festival component wherein the choir participants are given an opportunity to perform a short program within the duration of the workshop, and during the culminating program at the end of the Workshop.

An intensive training program for symphonic band conductors and enthusiasts. The workshop module consists of symphonic band conducting essentials, leadership skills enhancement, rehearsal techniques, score preparation, and actual band conducting in front of a laboratory band.

    • Virgin Labfest Writing Fellowship Program

A two-week mentorship program on the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage. This is part of the CCP’s desire to train young aspiring playwrights. The fellowship program consists of lectures, script critiquing, writing sessions, interactions with known playwrights, directors and selected actors, and passes to all the Virgin Labfest plays and selected rehearsals. The fellowship program concludes in a staged reading showcase featuring the fellows’ works.


HALLOWEEN FAMILY CONCERT

An annual orchestra appreciation concert for families, the young and young at hearts. The program includes instrument petting zoo and trick or treats. Children and their guardians can dress in costume and participate in the onstage costume parade.


CULTURE CAROUSEL

A weekly radio program of the CCP Public Relations Division aired over 98.7 DZFE-FM from 12nn to 1pm on Saturdays showcasing the works and performances of outstanding Filipino and foreign artists.


MARIA SCHOLARSHIP

The Makiling Academic Research and Institute for the Arts, better known as MARIA Scholarship, is offered to top graduates of Philippine High School for the Arts who have shown academic achievements and artistic excellence in their specific art field.

NATIONAL ARTS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

A program that will provide opportunities of continuing education for professional, mid-career artists, and arts managers in Asia.  Modules will be created and developed with the support of partner institutions and resource persons.

 

MANAGEMENT INTENSIVES PROGRAM

A program that will organize an enhance activity to help nurture, develop and sustain the growth of the Philippine creative industry.

A program that will strategically establish network, partnership and continued collaborations with arts organizations/institutions, schools/universities organizations, and LGU’s/government agencies.

 

ARTS MENTORSHIP FOR GRASSROOTS

A program that will empower the grassroots organizations to appreciate and eventually transformed to be supportive of the arts.  The program will offer a hands-on and actual learning experience for emerging arts managers and arts organizations by way of involving them to major CCP festivals and projects, such as Pasinaya, Cinemalaya, Virgin LabFest, Management Intensives, & other Arts Education projects.
