INTENSIVE TRAINING FOR ARTISTS-TEACHERS AND POTENTIAL ARTISTS
High level artistic training programs for artists, artist-teachers and potential artists in the creative arts. Activities include masterclasses, clinics, seminars, lectures, mentoring programs, showcases, etc.
- Masterclass
One-on-one coaching sessions with art experts training advanced students in performance and technique. The three outstanding young Filipino artists featured on the 2013 Special Concert Series will be giving masterclasses on violin, trumpet and percussion.
- Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the Cultural Center of the Philippines invites choirs from all over the world to compete in the country’s biggest choral festival of the year. The festival honors the founder of the Philippine Madrigal Singers National Artist for Music, Professor Andrea O. Veneracion, an esteemed choirmaster and choral clinician who is instrumental in the promotion of choral music all over the country. The event intends is to bring together choral groups from different parts of the globe to the Philippines to celebrate choral excellence through a festival and a competition.
- National Ballet Competition
Aims to be the most prestigious ballet competition in the country, drawing aspiring young dancers and professionals to participate.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL TRAINING FOR ARTISTS/ARTIST-TEACHERS
Artistic Training programs for intermediate level in the creative arts for artists and artist-teachers. Activities include workshops, seminars, masterclasses, lectures, mentoring programs, showcases, etc.
- Kabataang Gitarista Program
A classical guitar program for the youth offering free weekly lessons to interested public High School students. The program intends to promote appreciation for classical guitar performance among public. Aside from the weekly lessons, the students are also expected to have campus performances to promote interest in classical guitar.
- Rondalla Clinic
An intensive workshop for Rondalla groups and conductors. Module includes note reading, sectional rehearsals, playing technique, conducting technique for conductors, and performance.
- Hands-on Choral Workshop
An intensive annual choral clinic open to amateur choirs and choral conductors to develop their skills in choral singing, conducting and performance. It is a highly regarded workshop that has produced winners in local and international choral competitions. Led by the world acclaimed Philippine Madrigal Singers, the workshop includes a festival component wherein the choir participants are given an opportunity to perform a short program within the duration of the workshop.
- Band Workshop
An intensive training program for symphonic band conductors and enthusiasts. The workshop module consists of symphonic band conducting essentials, leadership skills enhancement, rehearsal techniques, score preparation, and actual band conducting in front of a laboratory band.
- Virgin Labfest Writing Fellowship Program
A two-week mentorship program on the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage. This is part of the CCP’s desire to train young aspiring playwrights. The fellowship program consists of lectures, script critiquing, writing sessions, interactions with known playwrights, directors and selected actors, and passes to all the Virgin Labfest plays and selected rehearsals. The fellowship program concludes in a staged reading showcase featuring the fellows’ works.

Adoption of internationally recognized training modules for artists and artist-teachers.
HALLOWEEN FAMILY CONCERT
An annual orchestra appreciation concert for families, the young and young at hearts. The program includes instrument petting zoo and trick or treats. Children and their guardians can dress in costume and participate in the onstage costume parade.
CULTURE CAROUSEL
A weekly radio program of the CCP Public Relations Division aired over 98.7 DZFE-FM from 12nn to 1pm on Saturdays showcasing the works and performances of outstanding Filipino and foreign artists.
MARIA SCHOLARSHIP
The Makiling Academic Research and Institute for the Arts, better known as MARIA Scholarship, is offered to top graduates of Philippine High School for the Arts who have shown academic achievements and artistic excellence in their specific art field.
